American country music singer Easton Corbin shares his story of how he began his career as a country artist and how it’s progressed since. Easton is a Florida boy who grew up in a small town and farming community. He said, “I’ve always been a lover of music and originally thought I’d just play guitar mostly because I was too shy to sing. Once I finally got over that fear, playing country music was all I ever wanted to do.” In 2010, Easton released his first album, which included two No. 1 hits, “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll with It.” From then on, Easton began playing on some of the biggest stages in the world and selling out shows in his Lucchese boots.
How did you begin your career as a country artist?
I first started my career when I was playing guitar in a high school band. When I got the opportunity to play at Suwannee River Jam, I knew I had to get over my nerves in order to follow my dreams. Now that I’ve been in Nashville for 14 years, I can’t imagine my life any other way.
How do you find inspiration as a songwriter?
I never got serious about my songwriting until I moved to Nashville and was able to truly grasp how important the songwriting process is. Once I was able to prioritize that part of the industry and spend more time with better and better songwriters, I was able to focus on that craft. I can always tell when I’ve taken some time off of songwriting because I get rusty… it’s just like muscle memory.

Where was your first gig?
My first gig as a touring artist was at The Long Branch in North Carolina. I’ll never forget that weekend because it was the same weekend as the Nashville flood in 2010.
Have you continued to emphasize western wear in much of your personal and professional life?
I’ve always tried to stay true to myself, both in my professional career and my personal life. I grew up in boots and jeans and even when I had to dress up, I wore a little bit nicer version of boots and jeans. I guess some things never change.
How have you shared your love of Lucchese with your fans/fellow artists?
Lucchese are the only boots I ever wear - personally and professionally. I always wear them on stage and anytime I have the opportunity to share them with other fans or artists, I tell about the time I got to go to the factory where they are made and see the incredible craftsmanship put into every pair.

Tell us about your first pair of boots.
They were a pair of African Antelopes and I wore them nonstop. My first weekend of touring, I went to the hotel to shower and clean up before hitting the road home. When I got home, I realized that I had left them in the hotel by accident. I panicked and got in touch with the hotel and thankfully, they sent them back to me.
What makes you a Lucchese fan?
I love what they stand for with quality and craftsmanship. When I got to visit the Lucchese factory about four years ago, I was able to understand the importance of how they focus on the craftsmanship with each pair of boots. This was an experience I’ll never forget. It was amazing to see the skill of the men and women that work in the Lucchese factory. They put so much passion into each and every pair of boots.
Tell us about your Lucchese boot collection. Which are your favorite boots?
Man, that’s a tough one. There’s something special about each pair. I’d have to say my personal favorites are my Jungle Caimans. A good friend of mine, Damon Moberly knew how much I loved these boots and he had that style. One day, he surprised me by giving me his pair after finding out how disappointed I was that I couldn’t get a pair of that style anymore.

What role do boots play in as you prepare for a show?
Since Lucchese are the only boots I wear, I always have them on whether I’m shooting a music video, prepping for a show or heading out on the town. I feel like what you wear is a part of who you are and thankfully, the extra comfort is just a bonus.
Describe how you feel every day when you put on your Lucchese boots.
I love having something as comfortable as these boots to be a part of my daily routine. They always make me feel more like myself when I get dressed each day.
Is there anything you would like to share with your fans?
I’ve been in the studio recording as much music as I can. Once this pandemic ends, I’ll be back finishing up a few tracks to get more music to the fans as soon as possible. Until then, I’d love to have everyone check out my upcoming acoustic version of “A Little More Country Than That” that we are releasing on April 10th for the 10-year anniversary of the song going No. 1.
