Country music and bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs visited the Lucchese retail store in Nashville, Tennessee on May 4, 2015, along with his wife Sharon White, a legendary performer in country-gospel music.  Ricky and Sharon were gifted for new boots from Mark Gregston, for their support of Parenting Today’s Teens with Mark Gregston, a Heart Light Ministries radio program that is “biblical in principle, practical in application, and sound in wisdom and helpful to all listeners.”

Ricky Skaggs has been in the music business for more than 40 years, winning 14 GRAMMY Awards, 8 CMA Awards, 8 ACM Awards, 9 ICM Awards, and 2 Dove Awards. He has 12 #1 Singles on the Billboard Country charts and 12 Top 20 Country albums.  Ricky has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1982 and was elected to the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2012.  Sharon White has been a member of her family’s country gospel band “The Whites” for more than 40 years.  The Whites have won multiple awards, including GRAMMY, CMA, and Dove Awards.  They have been members of the Grand Ole Opry, a weekly country music venue, since 1984. 

During their visit, Ricky and Sharon shared stories of their careers and their love for Lucchese boots.  Ricky said, “We have worn Lucchese boots for a long time. When you stand as much and as long as we do, you have to be comfortable and Lucchese simply feels the best.”  We are honored to have such wonderful people and performers as part of the Lucchese family.
