Lucchese Houston's Opening Soiree

Just in time for Houston’s rodeo season, athletes, musicians, media, and other loyal Lucchese ambassadors gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the company’s Houston flagship store in Highland Village. The crowd enjoyed the sunny weather, upscale cocktails, and a room filled with Houston’s most stylish. Invited guests also had the opportunity to admire the merchandise, ranging from Lucchese’s classic equestrian to opulent alligator boots.

The new Lucchese store presents a sleek retail design that mirrors the city’s sophisticated vibe. The store’s open and modern aesthetic has a Western touch, paying homage to the brand’s history and values. While showcasing the heritage brand’s signature Western boots, the flagship store also features high fashion footwear, small leather goods, handbags, belt buckles, and jewelry.

Lucchese owners John and Lyn Muse welcomed guests with their daughter Whitney Muse. Joining the Muse family was the company’s President Doug Kindy and wife Sally, Director of Retail Jay Hamby, and Houston Store Manager John Thompson. Lucchese silversmith Clint Orms and wife Roxie were among the crowd, along with the new store’s architects David Droese and Lance Raney of Droese Raney Architecture in Dallas.

Also present were philanthropist Carolyn Farb, former news anchor-turned-stage-actor Bob Boudreaux, Houston Polo Club’s Tammy Beeson, and luxury marketer Charles Ward, who is also the Director of Marketing for the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, of which John Muse is president. Other outstanding friends of the brand — Houston Oiler Dan Pastorini, MLB Hall of Famer Goose Gossage, World Champion bull rider Tuff Hedeman, and country music legend Neal McCoy — joined Lucchese for the fête.

Guests enjoyed gourmet creations by Affair Extraordinaire and refreshments generously sponsored by Maker's Mark, Tito's, and Saint Arnolds Brewery. Mixologist Alba Huerta of Julep created an unforgettable Honey Fried Fig Old Fashioned Maker's Mark cocktail for the event, which lasted well into the night.

All are welcome to visit the Lucchese Houston store at 4051 Westheimer Road, from 10am to 9pm Monday through Saturday and from 12pm to 6pm on Sunday.
