Scotty McCreery's Boston-Themed Birthday

Scotty McCreery may be a veteran country music star, but he’s still the age of the average college student. He rose to fame after winning the 10th season of American Idol in 2011 when he was just 17-years-old, and since that crowning moment he’s released an impressive three studio albums — the first of which was certified platinum.

McCreery recently turned 21-years-old, and to celebrate the occasion, his loved ones reached out to Lucchese to design special boots commemorative of the poignant birthday. He's often spotted wearing Lucchese onstage, so the new additions to his collection were well-received.

"It's really hard to buy for Scotty," Judy McCreery, mother of Scotty, says. "He's very low maintenance and doesn't really ask for anything. But I knew for his 21st birthday, I wanted him to have something unique that he could always remember he received on his 21st bday.

I tried to think of things he used on a weekly basis that he truly needed and I thought Lucchese! While Scotty was living in L.A. for Season 10 of Idol, the wardrobe dept brought Scotty a pair of Luccheses — along with many of brands — to wear during the show. The Luccheses quickly became his 'go-to' boot while on American Idol.”

He may be from North Carolina, but McCreery is a die-hard Boston sports fan. So, there was no better choice than to build two pairs of custom Lucchese Classics, one emblazoned with the Patriot's team logo and the other with that of the Red Sox.
